Round Table’s (MDRT), The Premier Association
of Financial Professionals, 2007–2008 prestigious
Top of the Table.
Dorfman,
a local business and community leader and 11-year
member of the Round Table, is a nine-time Top of the

Dorfman’s
Chairmanship was recently announced at the 2007 Top
of the Table Annual Meeting October 17-20 in Phoenix,
AZ. At the one-of-a-kind meeting, the world's upper
echelon of life insurance-based producers gathered
in a spirit of professionalism and camaraderie that
is unparalleled in the insurance industry. The purpose
of the Top of the Table Annual Meeting is to provide
an annual educational meeting for the exchange of
advanced sales ideas and for the development of interpersonal
relationships among leading financial producers who
are members of Top of the Table.
A
grand turnout of Top of the Table members, spouses
and speakers from different nations and territories
attended this year’s meeting. The four-day meeting
featured networking breakfasts, motivational and technical
Main Platform presentations, as well as afternoon
business and spouse sessions. During the meeting,
numerous professional, non-member and Top of the Table
member speakers presented topics ranging from sales
ideas to business management.
An
active leader in the Round Table, Dorfman has served
on the Top of the Table Advisory Board since 2005.
In addition to leading this year’s 12-person
Top of the Table Advisory Board, as Top of the Table
Chair and Divisional Vice President, Dorfman joins
MDRT’s Management Council, its governing body.
Dorfman
is CEO and founding partner of Oberlander Dorfman,
Inc., one of the most successful financial planning
firms in New York. As an independent Financial Planner,
Mark Dorfman brings innovative products from insurance
companies to his clients and the brokerage community.
His specialties are Comprehensive Estate Planning,
Wealth Accumulation, and Corporate Benefits.
Dorfman
has published numerous articles, appeared on radio
shows, and frequently speaks at functions for insurance
and financial professionals, as well as for non-industry
organizations. He is a member of the Estate Planning
Council of New York City, and has sat on numerous
advisory boards for major insurance and investment
companies. He also conducts continuing education seminars
as an approved New York State Department of Insurance
continuing education instructor.
Dorfman
resides in Rockville Centre, NY. His two children
are Richie, age 14, and Natalie, age 11.
