In his Main Platform presentation, Top of the Table Divisional
Vice President Mark Dorfman, CLU, ChFC, a 12-year MDRT member
from Lynbrook, New York, congratulated the audience of 300 members
for deciding to attend, even though client calls were challenging
their offices. He reasoned that there was no better time to share
ideas and support one another than in the current economic times. "It
takes courage to operate in this volatile environment,” he
said. Dorfman added that there was no more deserving time to
introduce the new Open Sessions, which allowed attendees to create
topics on the spot for discussion groups that met during the
afternoons. Attendees took advantage of the new format, creating
Open Sessions that dealt with topics such as keeping clients
calm during economic crises.
Looking ahead to economic recovery, attendees shared their best
sales, marketing and practice management ideas during the Ideas
Exchange. Participants sat in small groups to share their ideas,
then selected the best to be presented to the entire room. |
